A Success Story-Part 2

Today, we shall continue with the story I extracted from Empower Magazine, referring to our Success University Founder and President Matt Morris who turned his life around through the power of personal development. Here we go…
In Part 1 we saw Matt’s Personal History and Personal Development. Here in Part 2 we shall look at The Pillars of Success University and Benchmarks for the Future.
The Pillars of Success University
The company’s primary mission statement from the start has been to deliver success education to more people than any other company in the world. “Our goal is to be the most dominant player in the personal development industry,” Matt says.
How do you accomplish that? By creating a product that changes lives and is affordable for anyone in the world who has a desire for success.
Before he approached anyone about the network marketing side of the business, Matt wanted to develop a strong product line that would stand on its own, regardless of the business opportunity. He knew creating a product that delivered results would be something people would rally behind.
Over the course of approximately nine months, Matt’s team developed relationships with many of the most renowned authors and speakers in the industry. Les Brown, Zig Ziglar, Cynthia Kersey, Brian Tracy, Dr. Tony Alessandra and Jim Rohn are not only some of the finest minds in personal development , but are also among the distinguished educators within Success Unversity’s product offering. Their work and wisdom have helped transform the lives of millions. Within months of their launch, Success University became one of the most popular personal development Web sites in the world, with testaments of success pouring in on an almost daily basis.
“With more than 200 courses and growing every month, there’s something for everyone, no matter what your goals and dreams are,” Matt says about the products, which are accessible online 24 hours a day, seven days a week from anywhere in the world.
Success University’s poduct suite is packed with valuable materials. Among the many products students receive as part of their monthly tuition are the Monthly Empowerment Series (where students receive a CD and a DVD in the mail each month), the Success Express newsletter, and the Learning Center, which includes streaming audio and video courses, text-based courses and a weekly e-mail-based success plan, complete with downloadable workbooks.
“For less than $2 per day, students have access to thousands of dollars in success education,” Matt says. Because much of its growth is from retail customers, many people involved with Success University simply enjoy the value of the products, without referring others.
But for the many Success University students who share the business opportunity with others, the reward is great. “Over the last two years we have proven that our system works,” Matt says. “We have people who have earned six-figure incomes with Success University and those who have turned their yearly income into their monthly income. We have people who have purchased their dream homes, their dream cars and those who were able to purchase the diamond ring ’she always deserved’ for their 25th wedding anniersary. Most of our top affiliates say their greatest gift with Success University is having the time freedom to spend with their family.”
The key ingredient for an affiliate’s success, Matt says, is following “The System.”
“The reason we’ve been able to enroll more than 65,000 students in less than three years is because we’ve created a strong tools culture. We’ve created a simple step-by-step ‘take you by the hand’ system to follow,” he says. “We teach our affiliates not to be a salesperson. Instead, we teach them how to use the tools we have in place to do the selling and explaining for them. Our most successful affiliates are simply ‘information tour guides,’ which allows no-pressure and rejection-free style of building a business.”
Benchmark for the Future
Matt believes when you build people internally with personal development, they build the business. “That has been true for every seven-figure-earning network marketing leader I’ve ever met and has always been true in my network marketing career,” he says.
Since the company’s founding in January 2005, Success University has seen stable growth month after month. “We produced more than seven figures in revenue our first year in business and experienced more than 300 percent growth in our second year,” Matt says. “Based on current growth, our third year will produce well over eight figures in revenue, which is exciting for our affiliates, because over half of that revenue is paid back in commissions.”
In the next three to five years, Matt says Success University could become a $100 million company. “Over the next 10 years we aim to have a student base of more than 1 million worldwide, making us the dominant company in the personal development industry,” he says. “The entire direction of our company, the decisions we make, every thing we do, revolves around that-the vision of having more than 1 million active students in Success University.”
Those students range from college students to baby boomers to millionaires. What they have in common is their natural desire to succeed. “Learning is the beginning of wealth, health, happiness and personal fulfillment,” Matt says. “Searching and learning are where the miracle process begins.”
“If you want to produce change in your life, if you want to write your own future and destiny, then it begins with educating yourself about what successful people have done and how they have done it. Learning is our way of peering into history and seeing what makes a successful life in all areas,” he says.
