Posting regular content to your blog is really crucial.  It will keep the search engine spiders coming to crawl your posts and have existing readers coming back to read the new stuff.  So today we shall cover…

Step 3 - Content

There are many ways to get fresh, readable content for your blog.  I shall mention three of them here.

Write Your Own

If you are crazy like me, then writing your own content would be a great idea.  It is totally unique and it is 100% free!

I can tell you it is great fun and fulfulling.  That is only possible if you are interested in what you are writing about.

I can tell you it is not hard to write your own content.  You can comment about existing articles or just give your opinion about something.  You could even make a product or website review.

Just remember to add something of your own every few weeks.

Free Articles

You can post free articles on your blog by a wide range of authors.

They can be found in directories like:

www.ezinearticles.com

www.ideamarketers.com

You can reprint these articles as long as you keep the bio/resource box intact.  This usually has a link in it to the author’s site so the downside of using free articles is that you may be sending traffic to another source you don’t get paid for.

Many gurus think that outbound links are bad.  However, if you think that it can serve your readers and they will benefit from the article then it’s good to include it and you can easily add your comments in the post too.

Outsourcing

There are three main places you can go for hiring people to write content for you:

www.rentacoder.com

www.elance.com

www.guru.com

Rentacoder is the safest service because the worker doesn’t get paid until the work is complete and you’re happy with it.

To get good quality articles expect to pay around $5 per article.  That means it will cost you around $260 per year if you want to post one article a week with outsourced content.  If you have a few blogs that could add up to quite a sum of money. 

So only outsource if you don’t have time to use the other two methods or if your blog is a success, meaning it is helping you to make money, and you want to start adding an extra post every week.

Finally, when you bid for articles ensure that you give a detailed description of what you want done.  If you want a 500-word article, say so because a page to you is different to others who use larger fonts or double-line spacing instead of single-line spacing.

Summary

In summary, you should use all three methods above.  Your blog will seem more real and more balanced.
